68% of pregnant woman in Egypt are Subject of Violence
A study by an expert from the Un confirmed that 60% of pregnant women in Egypt get subjected to violence on more then One occasion during their term.
The study made by Doctor Jihan Joyful pointed that have the ladies that were subjected to beatings had complications in pregnancy as a result of violence, like tiredness, early delivery and hemmoraging.
She confirmed that 68% of them did not react and third the ladies preferred not to give birth and 20@ started using contraceptives without the knowledge of their husbands.
The studyin clarified that 37.29% from those subjected to violence had been forced to perfom sex by force.
She confirmed that 41.6% got complications like sleep problems and gastric irregularities and chronic pains in the pelvis or the joints and appetite problems and uncontrolled bladder discharges and that 3.6% considered suicide.
The study confirmed that most images of violence were slaps on the face or kicking causing open wounds. And the average of violence went one between 3 times per month to 17 times per year.
A large portion of those subjected to violence preferred silence in fear of divorce or vengeful repercussion from their partners or so that the man does not remarry another woman or out of conviction that it is the right of the husband to discipline his wife and daughter anyway he sees fit, or in fear of scandal or for lack of the presence of income other then the house of the husband.
The study had found that there is a relation between the husbands committing violence and watching violent shows in TV. |

I hate to think that someone is going to beat this girl. I certainly wouldn't
She looks like she stepped right out of pharaoh's pyramid. Man does she look like an ancient egyptian!
