Thoughts from my blog.
| Quote: | It's very curious how God in all the Abrahamic faiths behaves like a vulnerable human.
For instance God in the Old Testament gets angry, takes revenge, feels remorse and guilt. Coincidentally around the time of Judaism humans were still culturally immature, spontaneous and displayed a very similar behaviour!
Then in the New Testament God acts like a drama queen and sets up the stage for suffering, crucifixion and resurrection. A typical Greek tragedy that again coincided with the literature, the theatre and the story telling style of that time.
Last but not least, Islam was a true reflection of the environment and culture of the harsh and ignorant Arabian Desert. The Quran copied many stories from the Gospel, with the help of Waraqqa Ibn Nawfal of course, and added to them the spices you expect from 1001 nights or Aladdin Stories!!
Winged angels, horned devils, scary jinns and a flying mule! Muhammad claimed that the Quran was his only miracle. Again, the only thing the Arabs were good at was poetry...Words and only words, coincidentally the Quran (Islam's only miracle) is made of words, Arabic words!
God's last message to the universe and humanity has been revealed in a language so classical, that some of the native Arabs can now hardly understand.
Just go back in memory my dear Muslim and remember the religion class (Hessatt Al-Deen).
It was all about memorising the words, no comprehension needed and if you fail to memorise you know what happened!
Millions of non-Arabic speaking Muslims recite the Quran in Arabic, a language that they can't understand or speak. The miracle of Quran has dissolved, because God forgot that the universe stretches beyond the Arabian Peninsula!!
Over the next few months I will be concentrating on the Quran, its teachings and its many errors. The errors are grammatical, historical, geographical, scientific and mathematical in nature, but above all is the many immoral verses that directly conflict with basic human rights and sound humane conduct.
I expect Muslims to come and defend their religion, I also expect them to use proper reasoning and logical methods to refute my evidence.

Yes, Let us break the chains of ignorance and fear.
This requires time as it will turn into a huge exercise. I will contribute my thoughts, whenever I have time. And I suggest people do not copy and paste junk and stuff from other answering-Islam sites.
I also hope, you will not allow any exegesis done Apple_Pie style.
Hope everyone presents one's own thoughts and quotes only from the relevant Scriptures. I will discuss only through Qur'aan, the Jewish Holy Scriptures, Christians' OT and their NT. I will not discuss through Hadith.
Before going into this, I would like to know if you believe in God or not? I am fully aware that you are no more a Muslim.
Thanks

I couldn't agree with more you BMZ. Let's rely on our brains and not let people think for us!
I am an atheist to the idea of the current God(s) and Agnostic to what may inspire later on in my life. _________________ A little boy prayed for a bike. Then he realized God doesn't work that way so he stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Dear All Brains and BMZ,
Well I'd like to join in the debate as well. What you say AB abut the anthropomorphic monotheistic God is quite true. The emotional states and dispositions of God/Allah are 100% human. Anger, mercy, wounded pride, narcissism, tyranny, desire for revenge, rewarding the faithful (i.e. loyal subjects) etc. Allah in fact displays the behaviour of a typical Middle Eastern potentate. But the 'invisible' God also has the PHYSICAL traits of human beings. In the OT God writes with his index finger. In the Koran God fashions the first human being 'with My two hands'! How many fingers does God/Allah have? Five? Does he have two feet as well? And ten toes?
I'm an atheist as well.... _________________ Ecrasez l'infâme! |

You are most welcome, Bob. I will be writing as a believer in God and it was good of you to have clarified that you are an atheist. I am down with a bad flu and will write later. Instead of proving whether God exists or not, I would be addressing the comments in A_B's post.

Get well soon BMZ and don't walk that Orchard Rd late at night! You know that "Iblis" lives there! _________________ A little boy prayed for a bike. Then he realized God doesn't work that way so he stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

Thanks, A_B.
I am always told by the home ministry to go to some other 711 outlet instead of going to the one at Orchard Road.
Looks like you know the place well.
