What is mitochondrian eve? I read wikipedia and it just did not make sense tome. Can someone elaborate?

Mitochondria started out many hundreds of millions of years ago as symbiotic bacteria inside the first protozoans, and slowly integrated into being more or less part of the cells themselves, though they still have a relatively independent existence.

Research into our genetic history shows common factors in our mitochondrial DNA that could (by some interpretations) suggest that the female line of human ancestry may have bottlenecked down to a small set of individuals, or even just one individual - jovially dubbed 'mitochondrial Eve'.

Note that this does NOT in any way suggest that this bottleneck represents the first human, as represented by the biblical Eve - the main DNA shows no such bottlenecking. There were plenty of other humans around at the time and earlier - but it seems that on our way out of the Olduvai Gorge, one woman's descendants might have been the only ones to leave an ongoing legacy on the female line.

And you then ask how we could all be an "ancestor" of the same person if there lived other persons at her time? (first of all there some discussion on the matter, some genetic biologists don't think that the research done so far have been representative enough).

But my simple answer would be that the female descendants of this woman was among those which migrated out of Africa and thereby spreading the specific "mitochondrial DNA", which is said to the part we have inherited, as far as I understand. But the explanation could simply be that humans have for a very long time been migrating-imigrating and by this spreading for instans a specific "mitochondrial DNA".

I could imagine that in a world of this global kind we have today "a common ancestor" would be closer to future human beings, if I have understood this correct.

You are always responding so quickly and so nicely and i appreciate it so much! i am trying sooo bad to leave islam and you have helped me progress! so mitochondrial eve is basically means that we all share mitochondria from one girl? how was this possible like if we are not all descendent's of one girl?

Yes from the research there have been done it suggest that we all somehow descent from one woman. But it has been argued wether the research is good enough to make a stern conclusion from it, ie. wether it has had a large enough material to conclude from.

I'm sorry but I'm not sure that I understand your second question. Could you elaborate, and again I'm not in any better position to give you the answer, but I'm willing to do some research with you
