Hey doc, I love the joke behind your signature of stealing a bike and asking for forgiveness I wish I wrote it. But in the midst of finding it obviously funny, I missed the underlying truth behind it. Doesn't your joke point to the fact that there is no God because it doesn't meet your personal needs? I think you, inadvertently and accidently gave away your motives behind your beliefs. All of your decisions come down to you, and your needs doesn't it? Is that objective or subjective? So why is God supposed to appease you and talk to you, and do what you think God should do, when you demand that your needs be appeased first? I think this goes for a lot of people and isn't a personal comment towards you. I thank you for your signature, as it allowed me to see this. |

No, I just forgot to sign in and it still let me post but it thought I was a guest.
Anyway, you are so lucky that Allah has chosen to guide you. I wish I was that lucky, but Allah has decided to put a seal on my heart. So what could I possibly do about that? Nothing. I would pray to Allah to remove the seal on my heart, but the seal on my heart prevents me from doing that. In fact, I have no idea why Allah lets me continue to live when he has officially shut me out. And we both know that I can't remove the seal if Allah wants it there, and apparently, he wants it there. So what's the point of living anymore? _________________ If it is peace you want, seek to change yourself, not other people. Hi Mutely
because it's a joke, of course it had to be exaggerated!
The joke really implies a non responsive God, full stop! And the reason why he's not responsive is either he doesn't exist or not at all the sort of creator that requires worshiping or acknowledgment!!
Also, it's not only personal needs that he needed to respond to...How about that mother watching her 2 years old baby slowly dieing with cancer! And that man watching his little son drowning in front of him following the submerge of their boat!!! Or that little girl who's about to be raped, killed and dumped like rubbish in some woods!!!
I hope I made my point clear! _________________ A little boy prayed for a bike. Then he realized God doesn't work that way so he stole a bike and asked for forgiveness.

| The fact that the pope has to be driven around in a bulletproof car says it all in my opinion. |

It was clear the first time. I just found it revealing that it involved the desire for a bike, not cancer. The sun doesn't shine on only the good. The nature of the rain is the same, but it makes flowers grow in the garden and thorns grow in the marsh. _________________ If it is peace you want, seek to change yourself, not other people. LOL on you! God answers my prayers . Just the other day I threw a stone from my office window and prayed to God for it to fall down. Lo and behold: it did! Then, later at home, I prayed for my fridge to remain in the exact spot I left it. And it STAYED THERE!
