Apparently to keep the balance between good and evil to prepare for man's ultimate test after he has been equipped with free choice. At least this is the theological version!

Interesting, so God allows direct or indirect influence of "His children" by evil to test the ability of free choice, theologically speaking of course. But, what about the difference of influence from different theologies and even different sects of the same theology including thought differential in the same sects?
To give an example of what I mean I will use Dante Alighieri "The Divine Comedy" or Dante's Inferno. Part of the reason why some called Dante Alighieri a heretic was for believing when Satan was cast down into hell he had no influence on mankind and only free choice determined destination. That is why when Dante wrote about the ninth level of hell Satan was frozen in a lake.

May be Dante wanted to hint that "Satan" has been innocent all long and it's time for us to take responsibility of our own actions and not keep blaming an imaginary poor creature!
The balance of good and evil almost exists in every single religion, spiritual dogma and philosophy. Why? Because this is how many man thinks and it transpired in all what he produced.

Sorry Mutley, I understand the question is not as frivolous as it may seem but I currently don't have the time to debate the whys and why not. One day, maybe you and I will debate the meaning of life and why god created the three-toed sloth, but as of now I just don't have the time.

Freedom. Full-spectrum freedom to be. Free will. You can just as easily ask why does God allow people to do bad things, without any higher life forms, and the answer would be the same.

Influence on mankind;A serious question: if ‘God’ did create this universe and everything in it, why does that automatically make him/her/it ‘Good’?
