While I'm up......I'd better introduce myself.They call me 'Tater Salad, but I'm known at FFI as no_dhimmi, and at WhyKuffar and Topix as Scooter girl. I hope I chose a better name this time, although it kind of clashes with my Christian identity. Yes I'm a faithhead, but I don't begrudge others their own opinions, and since I spent most of my life as an agnostic/wanderer, I have a bit of a different spin on "religion" and what that really means. I hope my background makes me a more tolerant Christian, although certain things aren't negotiable with me. Looking forward to seeing more interaction on this new forum, and I hope I can hold my own against some of you here. If not, just call me 'Tater and move right along. Congrats on the new forum, AB!

Hello Tater Salad,
It bodes well introducing yourself as a "faithhead" which indicates that you feel secure in yourself and won't take offence at any trivial thing said, and where none is intended. And we do need to have a few faithheads to even up the numbers. Otherwise, if it were all atheists here, All_Brains would be left preaching to the converted, so to speak. |

Absolutely. The nice thing about not being raised in a religious environment is that I've been on both sides, and I (to some degree) understand both. To be honest, I don't like debating atheists, but I do like answering questions and having conversations. And I completely get that everyone stays where they feel comfortable. |
