What kind of muslim are you like sunni shia wahabbi salafi? just wondering! |
When I had no knowledge of Qur'aan, I was both, a sunni and a shia at the same time. I was never a Wahabi. I had not heard of Salafi, so a Salafi, I was not. I came to know Salafi through the internet. lol!
I agreed with the Shias when they convinced me and agreed with the Sunnis when they convinced me as I was an Ummi in the matters of Qur'aan.
After I had studied and learnt Qur'aan and knew God's message well, I started calling myself a Muslim. I have no more affiliation with any sects of Islam.
I am now just a Muslim, free from all turbulences and prejudices. Qur'aan stands supreme for me.

If your question is to me, then the answer is a No! I do not follow the books of Ahadith to practise Islam.
I do not reject and condemn all the ahaadith. I reject and condemn only those ahadith which do not stand correct in the light and shade of Qur'aan. I will give you two examples:
It is reported that the Prophet said,"Praying five times a day is like having a bath in the stream that runs right in front of your door-steps and you come out refreshed, everytime you take a dip." I agree with this hadith and I accept it.
It is reported that the Prophet said,"Before the Day of Judgement, every tree and every rock will tell the Muslims that a Jew is hiding behind them, so that they can kill him. Only the Gharqad tree will not tell." I do not agree with this hadith and do not accept it. I reject it.
Hope this helped in understanding me better. |

I would say plenty. What do you mean by a small minority? |

As manner of fact BMZ the Sunni's are around 85% of all Muslims and will consider you a murtad if you reject any hadith from the Sahihan regardless if its contradiction with the Quran. _________________ A little boy prayed for a bike. You wouldn't understand that even if I explained that to you, Baal.
| Baal wrote: | | Did your country produce any Nobel prizes or applied for patents on 'advanced' inventions lately to even qualify to have an advanced physics degree? Keep the grandiose titles to your graduation ceremony plz. |
Not yet, Baal. As a nation, Singapore is only 42 years old. Patents aplenty. Our degrees are recognised all over the world.
| Baal wrote: | | I am assuming your degree is from Indonesia. The country that sends dozens of its youngest and grightest to the Azhar university in Cairo to drain whatever hopes and intelligence they were born with. |
Never assume, Baal. You have to give up this bad habit of assuming for you only make an ass of your ownself. I see that most of the times, when you post anywhere. |

Yes, you are right but this is experienced mostly on the internet forums. I have been called a murtad (an apostate), a hypocrite (munafiq) and even a Kafir by some Muslims on internet boards, but not in real life, A_B.
In real life, when we discuss, Muslims understand. Of course some adamant mullahs/scholars do not agree and wish to push their ways down everybody's throats. |

My reference was not in regards to debate purpose, but in doctrinal references.
Theoretically, you and Ahmed's current interpretation are considered kufr by the vast majority of Muslims. At least over 95% will consider you a Murtad, based on the vastly accepted Islamic dogma of Quran, Hadith, Suunah and Sirah make Islam. _________________ A little boy prayed for a bike. Not really 95%, A_B. I would rate those at 40%. But it doesn't matter because slowly Muslims are getting educated and they have begun to think.
