Hmm..why should he be obliged to do that?
This is mere deflection of the issues.
The validity of arguments does NOT depend upon whether a the person presenting them makes a public figure out of himself or not. |

Yes, welcome to the forum arildno !
And thank you for replying to this question, I must have missed out on it...
Sorry BMZ, I was not evading your question !
Arildno said it so nicely, I don't have to correct him on any point !
Privacy or open confrontation is a matter of personal decision, in the face of threats on ones life.
Not all have to be "heroes", standing up against islam with an exposed face and name, everything...
And like you said, the argument counts, not WHO brought it up !

Far too many flaky Muslims out there for the well being of Ali Sina. I think he is condemned to a lifetime of anonymity.
Take the case of Taslima Nasrin.
The Muslims who attacked her in public were the lawmakers of India. Muslims of two cuntries (sic) are thursting for the blood of this utterly defenseless but exceptionally courageous woman whose fictional writing is way too mild compared to the passionate writing of Dr. Ali Sina.

Then there is the case of Theo Van Gogh (RIP)
Egyptian Noble laureate Mahfouze was attacked with a knife but survived.
Japanese and Norwegian translators of Satanic Verses were killed.
I am not feeling so safe myself. _________________ Nil illegitimi carborundum. |

What does the last part imply? Or better yet please make an introduction. _________________ Yes, we have a "soul"; but it's made of lots of tiny robots. - Daniel Dennet

"Egyptian Noble laureate Mahfouze .."
Naguib Mahfouze was actually 82 when this maniac, who had never read Mahfouz' books btw, attacked the old man and stabbed him in the nexk.
Luckily Naguib survived 10 more years after this attack. |

I agree with you that it would fit Ali Sina to stand up in public, it would better in that way. But I can understand it if he rather would be on the safe side and don't become a public person, in theory targeting himself, but more importantly his family and all. You have to agree that there's other people who consider themselves as muslims who does not have the same ideas about apostacy as you do, right?
Ibn Warraq has done a semi-public appearance, meaning that he has ben part of different public meatings, fx having debated Tariq Ramadan, and being part of the ISIS. One could in that way ask why he still mantains his pseudonym. But anyways it fits a person in a position like that to know his face and his appearance.
One can certainly hope that the like of Maryam Namanzie, and the other public figures of the different ex-muslimcounsils can be figure for future developments. Many people who does not feel muslim are still today afraid of expressing their feelings in public and in relation to their nearest friends and family. Hopefully it will be better with time.
Cheers and peace |
I wonder why all this confusion and discussion about something very clear:
“Rejecting Islam is insulting god. We will not allow god to be insulted, This man must die,” said cleric Abdul Raoulf, who is considered a MODERATE.
Apostasy in Islam is punishable by death.
“Whoever changes his Islamic religion, kill him” Hadith 9:57
“And whoever seeks a religion other than Islam, it will never be accepted of him” Surah 3:85
A question was raised, if it is possible that this behavior could be adhered to in the US & the West.
The answer is profoundly YES.
This is not just a behavior of a bunch of fanatics, it is the ideology of Islam. The teachings of Islam which, is imported to us with the Muslims who come to our country seeking our destruction.
“Kill the mushrikeen (polytheists, Christians and non-Muslims), wherever you find them, and capture them and besiege them, and lie in wait for them in each and every ambush”. Surah 9:5
“O you who believe! Fight those of the disbelievers who are close to you, and let them find harshness in you; and know that Allah is with those who are believers.” Surah 9:123
“And fight them until there is no more fitnah (disbelief and worshipping of others along with Allah) and (all and every king of) worship is for Allah (alone).” Surah 2:193
The Time (April 3, 06) reported:
The judge in charge of Rahman’s fate defends the independence of the Afghan Judiciary. “In the West you allow two women to get married because that is the law, and I respect that. In Afghanistan we have Shari’a law…”.
He is comparing marriage vs killing. They don’t distinguish the difference because killing is a way of life in Islamic countries.
Egypt is another ugly example of the evilness of this system Islam. For over 1400 years Islam is forced on the Copts with all kind of ways. It is now getting uglier and uglier. This system has nothing to do with humanity. Period. |
